Acclaimed as one of the founders of the French dub scene, BRAIN DAMAGE has grown a solid reputation throughout the international scene, brilliantly cultivating a certain dichotomy between cerebral studio sessions and hundreds of live performances, always explosive.

In France, in the light of his experience and ability to continually renew his art, Brain Damage appears now as the link between the scene he contributed to establishing more than 15 years ago, and the new activists of a more synthetic & frontal dub.

His 11th album « Walk The Walk » was released in october 2015, and recorded, for the vocals, at mythical Harry J Studio in Kingston Jamaica, with legends like Horace Andy, Winston McAnuff, Ras Michael, Kiddus I and Willi Williams. The latter joined Brain Damage on stage last autumn for a first common run. Building on the success of this joint, the artists take back to the road together again for a few exclusive sessions in octobre 2016 !

Born in 1953, WILLI WILLIAMS, began to work with the producer Coxsone Dodd in the late 1960s . He voiced the breakthrough track "Armagideon Time", beloved and popular reggae anthem first recorded in 1977. The song gets internationalized in 1979 when covered by punk legends The Clash as the flipside of their "London Calling" single and a standard part of its live performances.

Far from being a one-hit wonder, Willi Williams contributed consistently to the greater body of Jamaican reggae music, collaborating with lots of the music's luminary figures, the likes of Gregory Issacs, Yabby You, Dennis Brown, Marcia Griffiths, Augustus Pablo, Aswad, and many others. In the 90s, he collaborated with the London-based, soundsystem giant Jah Shaka. This true legend is a pretty rare bird on the international scene nowadays.
